Regelneef 19.3

The English translation is complete

All parts of the software have now been reviewed and adapted so that the system as a whole is fully functional for anyone who selects English as the language at start-up. This makes Regelneef much more versatile; for example, when staff at an affiliate abroad also need to work with the system.

Intensive work has been carried out since the start of this year to enable the system’s multilingual capability and to complete the translation itself. Now that this task has been ticked off, we are delighted to turn our attention once again to various other improvements and enhancements to the system, based on suggestions from clients.

List definitions

The list definitions for screens and Excel play a key role throughout Regelneef. These now also support English. When maintaining a list, an additional column is now visible showing the column title in English. These titles are automatically populated by Regelneef with the correct English term, but can of course be amended if desired.

When logging in in English, the English column headings are automatically used in all screens that utilise list definitions.
The maintenance of a list definition itself has also been optimised for use in English: all names of the available and used columns are then displayed in English.

New hours import

The hours import module has been completely revamped and has consequently become much more flexible.

A new, flexible Excel import format has been created, allowing hours to be submitted, split into normal hours, overtime and surcharge hours if required. Based on this, the module automatically generates new weeksheets.

A conscious decision has been made to allow for a certain degree of flexibility in the file. This means that columns may also be included which will simply be ignored during import. The idea behind this is that it can be useful if the hours file is clearly legible to the naked eye for checking purposes, and this additional information makes that possible.

See the Regelneef help function for a description of the Excel import format.

Miscellaneous

  • The retrieval speed of various planlists has been increased;

  • The settings screen now has a clearer tab structure;

  • The PESEL number field has been expanded to 13 characters;

  • An issue with the Excel merge definition for sub-tables has been resolved;

  • Correct functionality when uploading large files to the Regelneef archive, even with a slow internet connection.
