Regelneef 20.5

Change log

Recording of user changes

From now on, changes to various important tables will be recorded in a log. This makes it possible to review the history of changes at a later date.

Mutatie-logboek

The following information is recorded:

  • The type of change:

    • Insertion of a record

    • Modification of a record (specifying exactly which fields have been changed)

    • Deletion of a record

  • Table

  • User

  • Date and time

  • Key data identifying the record

Cloud-based

The entries in the change log are generated within Regelneef’s cloud service, so it contains changes from various applications: Regelneef for Windows and the Regelneef apps.
For a local Regelneef installation (i.e. a non-cloud database), the change log is therefore not available. The buttons for opening the log will then be greyed out.

Features

  • The log, including the details of the modified field names, can also be viewed entirely in English.

  • Recording began in October 2020; the log will not be able to display information on changes made before that time.

  • The log can be filtered by multiple columns using the filter bar. For example, you can filter for changes made by a specific user in an employee’s placements, and, if desired, further filter by a specific field within those entries.

  • The log itself cannot be edited by anyone.

Employee and client records

In this version, tables relating to employees and clients are logged, along with the tables directly associated with them, such as contacts, placements, accommodation usage, certificates and the like.

Viewing the log

  • On all detail screens where the change log is now active, a button is visible that allows you to view the changes made to that specific record.

  • From an employee’s detail screen, the changes to all logged underlying tables can be retrieved in a single list. However, this button also has a sub-menu which allows you to view specifically all changes in a particular table (for example, placements) for that employee. Such a sub-menu is also available on a client’s detail screen.

Processing actions for multiple people

  • When an action is created for multiple people, the default behaviour is now that the action is marked as ‘completed’ for all people once one of them has done so. The action is therefore treated by default as a group action that expires when one person marks it as completed.

  • If this is not desired for a particular action, you can now select ‘Individual completion’ when creating an action for multiple people. This is a tick box that appears automatically when multiple recipients are selected.

Weeksheet: invoice numbers and time-off-in-lieu reservation

  • Two new fields are available for recording invoice numbers:

    • Purchase invoice number (only visible when the underlying placement is a hired-in placement)

    • Sales invoice number

  • Both invoice number fields are also available in the lists where weeksheets are displayed, so that it is clear whether incoming and outgoing invoicing is complete.

  • A button has been added to calculate the time-off-in-lieu reservation. This calculation takes into account the premium portion of overtime and surcharge hours. Once calculated, the result is displayed immediately in the relevant field.

Number of placement days in the planlist

A column is now available in the employee planlist showing the total number of days for the placement. If the end date is still blank, the count is up to the current day. This is the same as the day count that was already visible on the ‘Placements’ tab for an employee.
