Regelneef update 8.0.0

Cloud Database

clouddb175Regelneef is now also available as a cloud version. We have been working hard on this feature for the past two years. It is an important step in the ongoing development of the software package, making it possible, for example, to access your database via mobile applications to be developed by SunBase. It also offers a solution to the trend of moving away from on-premises servers and towards cloud services.

New start-up and login system

The internal processes relating to logging in, updating and starting the software have been significantly overhauled.

  • The start-up screen now doubles as the login screen.

  • Following an update, a database update is carried out automatically after restarting, if necessary.

  • Regelneef now starts up in such a way that the program files are no longer locked. This prevents, for example, problems when updating in a terminal server system where a single user is still logged in, which would otherwise prevent the update from taking place. This can no longer happen.

Authorisation for exporting data can now be configured globally

Three new permissions can prevent exporting, copying or writing Regelneef data to Excel. The permission rules can be set separately for each permission level and apply across all screens:

  • General->Excel data output

  • General -> Export options

  • General -> Copy records to clipboard

Scan distributor with built-in PDF viewer

The scan distributor now features a completely new built-in component for viewing PDF pages. This removes the need for a separately installed PDF viewer, which could cause instability on some systems.

Miscellaneous

Integration with Knollenstein

It is now possible to send a request from Regelneef to the Knollenstein system, thereby utilising their capabilities to post a vacancy on numerous job boards. This option will only be visible if it has been set up for your company by SunBase. If you have a (test) account with Knollenstein, please let SunBase know so that the integration can be activated.

Daily availability of a newly registered employee

From now on, the daily availability (Monday to Friday) will be automatically ticked for new employees, unless the settings specify that new employees must automatically have their calendar availability set.

Evaluations can be copied

In the ‘Evaluation Overview’ screen, it is now possible to copy all the evaluation columns entered in one row to other evaluation rows. When a group of evaluations needs to be completed that are entirely or largely similar, this can significantly speed up the process. Of course, adjustments can still be made after copying.
Copying is done via a button. This places the evaluation to be copied into the clipboard. The data can then be pasted by moving the cursor to the desired row and pressing the ‘paste’ command (Ctrl+V). The current date is automatically entered as the evaluation date.

Opening the Client Overview more quickly

If there are many clients in the database, it is impractical for them all to appear immediately in the list when the ‘Client Overview’ screen is launched. If a large number of records need to be retrieved, this slows down the screen’s start-up time, whilst offering little benefit. If there are large numbers of client records in your database, it is therefore advisable to tick this option. See Maintenance->Settings->Clients.

Clients

  • The ‘G-account percentage’ field now also supports decimals.

  • When exporting client contacts to Excel, the memo text is now also included.

Saving files with intermediaries

The file archive system is now also available for intermediaries. To activate this, the base path must be set under Maintenance->Settings->File Archive.

Weeksheets for self-employed workers to Freepack

Weeksheets for self-employed workers have the characteristic that the hourly wage is zero. From now on, when exporting to Freepack in this case – for overtime and surcharge hours – the system takes the applicable percentage into account by using the rate percentage instead of the wage percentage.

Alert for 26 weeks worked under the ABU

A new alert has been added to flag 26 weeks worked within phase A of the ABU. By default, this looks 4 weeks ahead, but this value (28 days) is, of course, configurable.

SMS checkboxes via bulk editing of employees

Using the ‘Bulk Edit’ button, it is now also possible to automatically tick the SMS box for Dutch 06 mobile numbers in a group of employees. Furthermore, it is now possible to untick all SMS boxes for a group.

Subcontractors: new fields

  • Copy of Chamber of Commerce registration (yes/no)

  • Date of issue of Chamber of Commerce extract

  • Proof of VAT registration (yes/no)

  • Insured (yes/no)

These fields have also been made available as columns in the Employee planlist.

Financial documents

  • An incorrect calculation of the revenue from overtime/surcharge hours has been corrected.

  • A merge code has been added to transfer the client’s payment terms.

Excel export from lists in xlsx format

The small Excel button at the bottom left of each list now generates files in .xlsx format.

Processing of changes to NBBU contract phases

With effect from 1 July 2016, a number of clauses (NBBU Collective Labour Agreement) were amended as a result of the introduction of the Work and Security Act. Regelneef has been updated to reflect this as of version 7.8.5. The following steps were carried out during installation:

  1. Phase 2A is renamed to phase 2

  2. All employees who are in Phase 2B and do not yet have an end date will be assigned:
    – an end date of 30 June 2016 in Phase 2B
    – a start date of 1 July 2016 in Phase 3/1

  3. For all employees who then have an end date in Phase 2B, that end date will be copied to the end date of Phase 2 (formerly 2A).

  4. Phase 2B will be removed entirely.

The employees who were automatically placed in phase 3/1 in step 2 can be retrieved via a special filter for this purpose in the Employee overview.

Other solutions and improvements

  • In the Employee overview, the ‘Last placement before/after’ filter was not working correctly; this has been rectified.

  • Exporting employees: refresh issue resolved.

  • When importing employees via Excel, the gender was not always determined correctly. This has been rectified.

  • Selecting a period via the calendar (for example, in the planlists) often selected an extra day. This has been rectified.

  • After refreshing a licence, the licence only became active after the second start-up. This now works immediately after the first start-up.

  • Editing an evaluation did not work properly after changing the evaluation type. This has been resolved.

  • Improved support for Outlook 2016 regarding the creation of emails.

  • In certain cases, scheduled employees could still be assigned the ‘Passive’ status. This has been resolved.

  • The ‘About Regelneef’ screen has been made clearer. Different details are also displayed when a cloud data connection is in use.

  • When pasting a file from Outlook (email message or attachments), an error message could occur on some systems. This has been resolved.

  • An incorrect message regarding mileage when recording car usage on the same day has been resolved.

  • Importing larger numbers of employees, including certificates, has been made much faster.
