New signing request

Automatically translated from Dutch. Some wording may be inaccurate.

TIP:

The quickest way to create a signing request is from a document, for example an employee's general or placement documents. Most fields can then be filled automatically.

See here for a general explanation of digital signing in Regelneef.

File to send

File

The path to the file to send. The file may be in any format; after sending, it is converted to PDF if necessary. For a Word file, for example one generated by merging, the button on the right opens it in Word so you can still make changes.

Document name

The name shown to the signatory. It initially uses the filename, but you can change it to make it clearer to the recipient.

Recipient (signatory)

Email

The recipient's email address.

Name

The recipient's name.

Signing action

By default, the recipient must sign. You can instead choose approval only: they confirm agreement by clicking a button without adding a signature.

Either option can include SMS verification. The recipient then receives a unique code by SMS and must enter it to complete signing. This verifies access to their mobile number as well as their email address and is recorded in the signing report.

SMS to

Shown and required when SMS verification is selected. Use international format, such as '+316' or '00316'. If Regelneef knows which employee is involved, it adjusts the number where necessary.

Sender

Email

The sender's email address, initially that of the logged-in Regelneef user.

Name

The sender's name, initially that of the logged-in Regelneef user.

Signing action

The default for the sender is None, so no signing-request email is sent to them. You can instead choose signing or approval only. SMS verification does not apply to the sender.

Email message to signatory

Signatories receive an email notification using your company logo and a matching colour. You can optionally provide your own text here.

Subject

Optional. The default subject is:

[Company name] ([sender's email address]) has sent you a SignRequest

Message

Optional. The default message is:

Please sign this document.

...

Kind regards,

...

[Company name] ([sender's email address])

The email always includes a button to start signing and an alternative URL.

Language

Sets the language of the email sent to signatories. A subject and message you enter yourself are not translated into the chosen language.

Please note: this setting has no effect on the signing interface itself. That uses the language detected from the signatory's browser. Someone using Polish on their computer or phone will therefore see signing instructions in Polish.

Click Send to submit the request to the signing service. It appears in the signing request overview, where you can track its status.
